Mission Statement

·  The mission of the BCNWNY is to provide education, advocacy, support and networking in the community for people involved with breast cancer.

 

Meetings, Programs, & Services

·  The BCNWNY meets the second Tuesday at 6:30 pm : at the Amherst Community Church at 77 Washington Street ; the breast cancer support group meets at 7:30 , immediately following. Both meetings are open to those directly impacted by breast cancer or interested in learning more about Breast Cancer. An annual Education Day is held with presentations on current breast cancer related information.  A Women’s Day Race (on Mother’s Day) is sponsored to raise money for the BCNWNY; and to defray cost of care packages provided to newly diagnosed patients and families. as well as other services that are geared towards helping someone with breast cancer and their families.

·  Anyone with breast cancer or who is effected/concerned about it can become a paid member, or simply participate in the Breast Cancer Support Group free of charge.

    encourages the youth of Buffalo to remain pregnancy-free during their adolescent years, so that

    they might reach their full potential before becoming parents.
