Statement

To encourage networking, training and promotion, and provide
educational resources and self-
improvement opportunities for women in the federal workforce.

Meetings,
Programs, & Services
· Monthly
meetings held the third Tuesday of each month.
·
Programs are planned each year in celebration of Women’s History Month
in March, and Women’s
Equality Day in August. During
the August Event, a luncheon is held for honoring the recipients of
the Federal Women of the Year and Federal Agency of the Year
Awards. Other programs
include:
Take Your Child to Work Day, an annual Women’s Fair, an annual
Education Fair, a Lunch and
Learn Series of guest speakers, and participation in Kids Voting.

To provide a place where people with cancer and their families and
friends join with others to
actively involve
themselves in building social and emothional support as a supplement to
medical
care. Free of charge and non-profit, Gilda’s Club offers support
and networking groups, lectures
workshops and social events in a non-residential, home-like
setting. Funding is solicited from
private individuals, corporationsm and foundations.

Gilda’s Club is named in honor of the late comedian Gilda Radner,
who in describing the support
she received in her own life, called for such places of
participation, education, hope and friendship,
to be made available to men, women, and children with cancer, their
families, and friends.

opportunities today.

Girl Scouts provide a safe, supportive way for girls to participate
in projects involving computers
and technology, careers, the environment, personal finance, and
sports, just to name a few. Over
5,200 adult volunteers are offered training to ensure the safest
and most productive environment
for girls.

Members of Girl Scouts must be girls between the ages of 5-17,

Scout Promise and Law, and pay a $7.00 membership fee.

There are approximately 12,000 girl members and almost 5,200 adult
members in the Girl Scout
